Start before you feel ready

Waiting to feel ready is the most comfortable way to never start. Here is how to take the first step anyway.

You are waiting for the right moment. More money. More skills. More time.

Here is the truth: that moment does not come. Nobody feels ready.

Ready is a feeling, not a fact

The people you admire did not feel ready either. They started with less than you think. They learned on the way.

Feeling ready usually comes after you start, not before.

Make the first step tiny

Big goals scare us. So make the first step so small it feels silly.

  • Want to start a business? Write down three problems people pay to fix.
  • Want to make videos? Record one. Don't post it yet.
  • Want to learn English? Read one short article out loud today.

A tiny step is still a step. And it is much easier to take a second one.

Done beats perfect

Your first version will be bad. That is normal. It is supposed to be bad.

You can fix something that exists. You can't fix something that only lives in your head.

Today's word: initiative. Starting something without being told to.
